Revised fees for services provided by Danish Embassies
The Executive Order on Payment for services provided by the Danish Foreign Service has been revised as of 1st of January 2012. The revision is necessary both to adjust for inflation and to ensure that the services reflect actual costs.
The details of the changes can be found under Consular Services in the top menu, or you can click here

New passport rules for Danes abroad
The Danish Ministry of Justice has decided to change the date for implementation of fingerprints in passports. The new biometric passports will be introduced 1 Jan. 2012 instead of 1 Oct. 2011.
This means that you can still apply for a new passport at most Danish consulates until 1 Jan. 2012.
It is also possible to apply for a Danish passport at the Civil Service Center (Borger-servicecenter) in any municipality (kommune) in Denmark. It is not necessary for you to reside in or in other way be attached to the municipality. You can find addresses of Civil Service Centres at www.kommune.dk. You may wish to call beforehand for information on opening hours, booking of appointment etc. and inform them that you reside abroad. Your present passport is still valid until the date of expiry.
